The **Radiacode** portable dosimeter is designed for real-time assessment of the radiation environment. It can be used both as a personal dosimeter and for the rapid detection of radiation sources.
The device is highly sensitive to gamma and X-ray radiation.
Default alarm signals are pre-set, but you can change them in the [[0 Settings]].
The display shows values depending on the [[Display Modes]]:
**Accumulated dose** - Sv, R;
**Dose rate** - Sv/h, R/h;
**Count rate** – CPS (Counts Per Second), CPM (Counts Per Minute).
More details can be found in the [[Technical specifications]].
Radiacode automatically logs measurement results and events and can store data in internal memory for up to 1,000 hours of observations.
The battery is designed for 500 hours of operation, with a temperature range of -10°C to +45°C.
Please read the "precautionary measures" before use.
To expand the functionality of the device, download our [[Smartphone Applications]] for your smartphone, or use the connection to a [[Working with a PC|computer]].
To turn the device on, press and hold the [[Turn ON and OFF|round button]] (see image: 12) until the device powers on (at least 3 seconds), then briefly press the button to enter the device's main menu.
The main menu has seven items.
Press the rocker button (see image: 10_13) “down” to navigate through the menu items in the following order:
